Sun City, Texas is a 55+ active, golf course community. If you happen to be driving through you are likely going to share the road with a few golf carts, get to see some wild life and if the season is right you will enjoy the beauty of the flowers. I personally love the waterfalls, ponds and natural landscaping. Oh, the flowers – there is an entire section of homes where the streets are named after flowers: Daisy Path, Purple Sage Drive, Red Poppy Trail and Dandelion Drive to just name a few.
Sun City, Texas is not just a community right outside Georgetown, Texas. If you ask me, Sun City is part of Georgetown. Residents of the Sun City community attend high school football games, pep rallies, volunteer at local hospitals, mentor children and much, much more. Georgetown benefits greatly by this “retirement community” being a part of the community as a whole. There are several restaraunts to dine at but I’ve heard one of the local favorites is the City Market; not only is it the local convenient store but they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner there as well. Sun City provides homes for just about any style and budget. There is still time to purchase a new home or have a home built. Sun City has plenty of amenities to chose from, there are 3 golf courses and miles of walking trails which wind, bend and turn in and around the homes adding natural landscape everywhere you look. Sun City offers a world class fitness center with tennis courts and a swimming pool. You can also enjoy the activity center with a woodshop, computer lab, art studios and 30+ clubs. The individual clubs range from quilting to bunco to bridge to bocce ball.
